APF acknowledges the importance of protecting your privacy and personal information and will follow all relevant privacy laws. We will collect data about you when you: complete any APF online form (including sending us emails, joining the APF, and posting a comment on our blog or on our affiliated websites); when you make an online donation; and when you use APF websites. The information that we collect may include: first and last name; address; geographical location; institutional affiliations; phone number; e-mail address; website usage data and other related technical information (such as browser type, operating system, Internet service provider, IP address, or the site you clicked from); and any other information you provide to us. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13 years old. If you are under 13 years old, please do not provide us with any such information or ask your parents for permission.

We collect personal information from users of the APF websites only in a fair and lawful manner. We will use such personal information only for the following purposes (unless we have obtained your consent or applicable law requires or permits us to process your information otherwise): providing you with services; operating this website and understanding its use for statistical and security purposes; managing and processing inquiries, registrations, and other interactions with you; forwarding petitions you have signed to the organizations, groups, or individuals they are addressed to; and providing you with information about relevant activities.

You may request the deletion of any personal information we have collected from you by sending us a request by letter with the words "Delete Contact Information" in the subject headline. You may request to stop receiving notifications or mailings from us at any time. You may have your name removed from our network page on the APF website at any time by contacting us by email using the same email address with which you registered as an APF member and requesting its removal.
