Have the events of the past few weeks created anxiety and turmoil for you? Do you have questions about how we arrived here? We invite you to join us in a time of learning and listening. Our hope is to bring healing, hope, and a deeper love of the true Character of Jesus Christ.

Sabbath: January 16, 2021 at 5pm EST

Dr. Olive Hemmings will expounds on the evolution of Christianity which created a culture of domination, the seedbed of racism. She guides us through the historic growth and expansion of Christianity and the ways that nationalism, imperialism, and fundamentalism have made space for unconscious racism to take root even in our own faith tradition. We will learn how Adventism has historically mirrored the systemic racism in American culture. An expert panel discusses ways we can find solutions on how to move forward from here. We encourage you to pre-read Martin Luther King Jr.’s concept of the Unholy Trinity prior to watching. SUMMIT CAN BE FOUND HERE.
